Compatible PCIe cards require a Thunderbolt-aware driver in order to be properly recognized by the computer. ThunderTek/PX compatible PCIe cards can provide many different functions including eSATA, SAS, Fibre Channel, 10Gb Ethernet, FireWire and USB connections.
